Circa Lighting Uses Eco-Friendly
Construction in Corporate Office
Circa Lighting has moved its corporate
office to a historic building in the downtown
area of Savannah, Ga.
The new office will accommodate personnel
in accounting, customer
service, warehousing, sales and management. The showroom will remain in
its current location in the Downtown
Design District of Savannah.
Owner Gale Singer realized “the
move offered an opportunity to create
an innovative work environment by
implementing new eco-friendly construction trends. With the new DIRTT
plant in Savannah, we found the perfect
resource to fulfill our vision of creating
an environmentally conscious workplace
with a design aesthetic
to match the Circa
Lighting brand.”
DIRTT (Doing It
Right This Time) are
modular walls used in
office interiors that are
engineered to easily
move to another location, providing a
more sustainable solution to building on-
site and rebuilding when change occurs.
Carpet tiles were also selected because
of the ease of removal and replacement
without the use of nails or padding, and
the office workstations are made of safe
materials and recycled content.
In addition, many of the existing
amenities in the historic building
were utilized and re-purposed into
the new design.
