In Memoriam
Ed Graning of Metro
Lighting, a 42-year veteran
of the St. Louis-area lighting industry, passed away
July 17 at the age of 64.
“Name a builder, and Ed was warmly
known as a friend. Name an electrical

contractor, and Ed was their friend.
Name a superintendant, and Ed was
their friend. Name almost anyone else in
the trades, and Ed was their friend,” said
Bill Frisella, owner of Metro Lighting.
“He was a gentleman and an expert in
both the lighting and electrical industry,
and he will be missed beyond what
words could ever be able to describe.”
Graning is survived by his wife of
41 years, Elise; son, Andy Graning
(Tammy); daughter, Laurie Graning
Luther; and grandchildren Paul Graning,
Taylor Graning, Carson Luther, Cate
Luther and Emma Luther.
