2012 OBjECtIVES:
1. Participate in U. S. and Canadian regulatory
standards, code development and legislation
involving residential lighting, ceiling fans and
controls
2. Monitor and participate in work to develop
new lighting performance and testing stan-
dards with a focus on moving the regulatory
emphasis from power to energy via controls
3. Identify and report on technical issues im-
pacting the lighting industry
4. Promote industry interests, particularly the
“Proper Application of Lighting” for energy-
efficient products and applications
5. Continue to be involved in the development
of lighting standards and promote lighting
safety
6. Partner effectively with Canadian Standards
Association Group and Underwriters
Laboratories on standards
