“Consumers will find a wealth of in-
formation on the fundamentals of light-
ing as well as guides to lighting different
rooms in their homes properly, feature
articles covering the latest design trends
and photos of some of the newest light-
ing products in a home setting,” notes
ALA Vice President, Communications
Larry Lauck. “Videos of ALA lighting
designers are showcased along with a li-
brary of videos from ALA manufacturers
pointing out their newest products on
display at the Dallas Lighting Market.”
Once a consumer reviews the in-
formation, an easy to use navigational
feature locates their nearest ALA light-
ing showroom.
For members, an upgraded shopping
cart program in the Member Store allows online registration for webinars
and convenient online payment of dues.
Detailed information is available on
ALA educational offerings, and an expanded Conference section will be filled
with information as it becomes available.
Because the site is build on a
Content Management System, ALA
staff will be able to update information
on the site as needed without having to
wait on a webmaster.
Funding for the website update was
approved by the Board of Governors in
January.
